BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - For the second season in a row and for the fourth time in Conference USA indoor history, the Charlotte's men's track and field team won the C-USA Indoor Championships after tallying 177 points, beating second-place North Texas by 63 points. The women's team finished in second with a score of 104, just behind Southern Miss with 109 points.
The day was highlighted by 16 personal records, a school record broken and an event sweep in the men's 3000m. Austin Carroll broke the mile school record after running a 4:04.80 time to win gold.
