CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A chat between sets reminded the 49ers who they were.
The Charlotte Invitational was a learning process spread across two matches against Tennessee Tech and Delaware State for the 49ers. The losses — 3-0 (16-25,16-25,20-25) to the former and 3-2 (23-25, 22-25, 25-16, 25-17, 8-15) to the latter — on Friday were painful, but with bumps came a bright spot.
A break between the second and third sets of the loss to Delaware State was an airing out process.
Players and coaches came together with a common message: We're a different team when we play Charlotte volleyball.
