CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women's basketball overcame its fourth-straight halftime deficit, picking up its third win in a row, to top Maryland-Eastern Shore 64-44 Saturday afternoon inside Halton Arena in the non-conference finale. It was the first meeting in the series since 2005 and kept the 49ers a perfect 3-0 all-time against the Hawks.
NON-CONFERENCE RESULTS
The Niners own a 9-2 record through the non-conference portion of their slate, the fewest losses in head coach Cara Consuegra's nine years heading into Conference USA action. Previously, the 49ers carded an 11-3 mark in 2012-13 and an 8-3 ledger in 2016-17 for the best starts in her tenure.
