CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte (7-9) softball team opens Conference USA play this weekend when they travel to take on the Miners of UTEP (5-15), Saturday – Sunday, March 9 – 10 at the Helen of Troy Softball Complex in El Paso, Texas. This will be the first ever meeting between the two programs.
Charlotte enters C-USA play leading all league schools in team batting average at the .309 mark, five points ahead of North Texas at .304. UTEP sits eighth in the standings with a .277 clip.
