Despite their 112-103 loss to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, April 3, the Charlotte Hornets accomplished something way more significant: clinching a playoff berth.
With Chicago losing to Detroit on Saturday, April 2, the Bulls helped the Hornets by losing a game which automatically gave Charlotte a reserved place in this year’s NBA postseason.
With less than ten games left to play, the main focus for Charlotte is obtaining the highest seed they possibly can. They currently hold the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference and could potentially jump all of the way to the third seed with all four teams sitting in the 3-6 spots currently ranked a half game back from each other.
