BOONE, N.C. -- Braxton Ogbueze scored 25 points with a career-high seven 3-pointers, and Charlotte beat Appalachian State 82-66 on Saturday, handing the Mountaineers their fifth straight loss.
Benas Griciunas and Anthony Vanhook scored 14 points apiece, Ridell Camidge added 10, and Jon Davis had a career-high seven assists for the 49ers (2-8), who shot 11 of 18 (61 percent) from long distance.
Ogbueze scored 20 points in the first half, including 6 of 6 3-pointers, and Charlotte led 40-33 at halftime.
Camidge and Griciunas each hit two 3-pointers and Charlotte led 54-45 early in the second half.
