Charlotte (12-4) rallied to win the final three sets and overtake UNC Wilmington (3-9), 3-1, for its seventh straight win in the regular-season finale. Charlotte took the competitive four-set match 19-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-18 to snap the Seahawks' three-match win streak.
Emani' Foster led the way for the 49ers with a 22 kills while Sydney Rowan added 20 and Amani McArthur pitched in with 11.
"That was absolutely the test that we needed," said head coach Karen Weatherington, noting the 49ers last played March 15. "We knew they were going to be tough and definitely a tough serving team.
