CHARLOTTE — Charlotte Men's Tennis fought hard but fell 6-1 to No. 24 South Florida on Friday at a packed Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex.

Charlotte's fight began in the deciding doubles matchup. South Florida captured No. 1, 6-3, after Peter Glenn and Frederic Schlossmann took No. 2, 6-1. The 49ers' duo continued their undefeated, 3-0 start together.

South Florida won the opening point courtesy of a 7(8)-6(6) win from No. 3 to tilt the scale. Charlotte held a 5-4 lead in the matchup before the Bulls worked it to 6-6, and eventually a tiebreak win after the hosts led that, too, 6-5, at one point.
