CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers (7-9) fell 9-0 in five innings on the road at North Carolina (9-8) on Tuesday at Anderson Stadium.
Charlotte collected four hits on the day, led by doubles from and . and each picked up base hits.
North Carolina took the early lead in the first inning on a grand slam from Hannah George.
The Tar Heels tacked on five more runs in the game, with two in the second, two in the third and added one more on George's second home run of the day in the fourth.
