Charlotte, N.C. — The Charlotte 49ers (5-16, 2-8 C-USA) rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to take a second half lead, but the visiting Rice Owls (9-13, 4-5 C-USA) were able to hold off the 49ers for a 65-61 win.
"We dug ourselves a hole in the first half," Charlotte coach said. "I'm really proud of the way the guys fought back in the second half. We did a good job defensively in the second half. The guys fought really hard in the second half and gave us a chance to win."
