After a losing battle, 3-2, in Thursday night’s game down in Ruston, La, the Charlotte 49ers struggled Friday night getting runners around to score as they left ten runners on base, falling short 5-2 against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.
Colton Laws earned another start after starting out as a bullpen guy over the first month of action, pitching four innings and giving up three runs on four hits.
Laws found himself in a pickle in the second inning on the mound, surrendering two runs to the Bulldogs to give them a quick lead.
Brett Netzer helped get Charlotte on the board by leading off the fourth inning with a double to right center.
