GREENVILLE, N.C. – Charlotte women's soccer fell 3-0 at ECU Sunday in its non-conference finale in the matchup of in-state rivals and former conference mates.
The Pirates had the better of the play during the first half, closing the 45-minute period with a 13-to-7 shot advantage and breaking through for the game's first two scores.
In the 11th minute, Jenna Dages put her head on a left-side cross but the Niners' goalkeeper, , made the initial stop. However, the ball remained loose inside the box and ECU's Tori Riggs raced in to knock in the rebound at 10:57 for a 1-0 edge.
