Despite the icy conditions, Halton Arena was filled to watch Charlotte close out their four-game homestand in convincing fashion, defeating Western Kentucky 88-71. The 49ers split their home stretch losing the first two games and winning the final two.
Jon Davis led the way finishing with 23 points and six assists. Braxton Ogbueze scored 19 points on 4-of-8 shooting from three. Finally, Joseph Uchebo finished with his fifth straight double-double, recording 14 points and 13 rebounds despite not playing the final eight minutes. Curran Scott would round out the 49er double-figure scorers with 15 points.
“Good win for our team,” Mark Price said after the win.
