“This was a really good win,” head coach Loren Hibbs said. “We beat a top-ten team on the road despite not getting off to a great start. We had a lot of guys tribute and i’m proud of the effort. We had some big at bats, it was a really good team win. Our guys realize it’s about the team.”
The Wolfpack jumped on the 49ers early with two runs in the first inning, after Brock Deatherage led off the inning with a hit-by-pitch. After a sacrifice bunt from Josh McLain, Will Wilson hit a sacrifice fly to deep left-center to score Deatherage from third.
