Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers (4-6) swept the second day of the First Pitch Classic as they posted wins over the Morehead State Eagles (1-1) and the Rhode Island Rams (3-4) behind 26 hits and 18 runs scored at Sue M. Daughtridge Stadium on Saturday.

Freshman Madelyn Wright had a big day at the plate and on the mound as she went 3-for-3 and almost hit for the cycle. Wright collected a walk, single, double and triple in the game while bringing in four runs. Wright also picked up her first career win as a 49er as she pitched 7.
