Instead of their usual coaches meeting Wednesday morning, Charlotte's coaches gathered together for a community service event with Crisis Assistance Ministry. The coaches put together and donated 1,500 toiletry kits to donate to Crisis Assistance Ministry, which provides aid and services to Charlotte's homeless and working poor community.
The kits included such essentials as toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap and lotion. Crisis Assistance Ministry spokeswoman Tovi Martin says the kits are always necessary, and thanks to the work of the Charlotte coaches, they will now have enough kits to hand out for up to six months.
In addition to helping the community, the coaches got to have fun putting the kits together, and show off their competitive spirit by seeing which table could put together the most kits in the shortest time.
