CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte held a 47-to-22 rebounding advantage and limited FIU to 26.0 percent shooting in Saturday's 49-31 Conference USA women's basketball victory inside Halton Arena. The win, the sixth-in-a-row, was No. 20 on the season for the 49ers, who remained in contention for a coveted opening-round bye at the upcoming Conference USA Championships.
SEASON WIN NO. 20
The Niners moved into 20-victory territory with Saturday's triumph, marking the 15th time in program history they have reached the milestone and third under head coach Cara Consuegra.
