While other players are excelling behind the three-point line, hooking shots left and right the past few nights in the paint is junior Anthony Vanhook.
Vanhook, a six-foot-four forward transfer from Cape Fear community college, has had excelled in the past two games.
During sophomore year at Cape Fear, he averaged 21.7 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. Those stats earned him second-team All-American honors. Vanhook was a pivotal part of leading Cape Fear to the second round of the NJCAA national tournament and was named to the NCJAA All-Tournament team. During his sophomore year he was awarded Player of the Year for the Carolinas Junior College Conference Region 10.
