IRVING, Texas – First-place Charlotte women's soccer landed its second weekly honoree by Conference USA Monday, Oct. 1, as junior forward Julia Grainda earned the league's offensive player of the week accolade. It marks the first weekly plaudit of her career and she becomes the second 49ers individual honored this fall, after classmate Riley Orr was tabbed the C-USA Defensive Player of the Week, Aug. 20.
Grainda is the first Niners player to be selected as the offensive winner since Martha Thomas Sept. 4, 2017. It also is the first time since 2016 in which Charlotte has collected multiple awards in the same season.
