CONWAY, S.C. — Charlotte Women's Lacrosse (1-2) had a 5-4 lead entering the second quarter but a run of seven straight goals by Coastal Carolina (1-1) flipped the game in the Chanticleers' favor en route to the 19-11 Coastal Carolina victory on Friday afternoon.
A 7-0 Chanticleers' run turned a 6-4 Charlotte lead into an 11-6 Coastal Carolina advantage. After the 49ers cut the deficit to 12-8 early in the third quarter, the Chanticleers responded with a 5-0 run that gave them a controlling 17-8 lead in Conway, S.C.
(two goals, one assist) and (three assists) led the way for the 49ers with three points.
