CHARLOTTE, N.C. - With the tying run at the plate and a full count on the scoreboard, junior pitcher used her 164th pitch of the day to end the game with a called strike three and secure an 8-6 victory over North Texas to complete the Conference USA series sweep on Sunday afternoon. The series win and sweep were both firsts in 2017, with the last one coming against Middle Tennessee in April of last season.
Looking to add some insurance runs in the bottom of the 6th inning, junior ripped a one-out single to left field to get things going.
