CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte rallied late with a run in the eighth and two more in the ninth, but the comeback bid fell short in a 6-5 loss to North Carolina A&T on Tuesday night. Pitching struggled early over the first four innings as the Niners were unable to rally back after a four-run bottom of the fourth by the Aggies.
"We competed in the last inning and did not play very well," remarked Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "The reality is we're going to get everyone's best shot. That is a transition for us and we need to do a better job of handling it.
