CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball fought off elimination three different times on Wednesday night before walking off in the 14th inning with a wild 10-9 win over Wofford inside Hayes Stadium. Reece Hampton led the dramatic comeback with a two-out, game-tying three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth.
"Tonight really showed a lot of resiliency," began Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "There's a lot of reason we could have just gone through the motions tonight but we didn't and had a positive outcome. We learned a lot about ourselves tonight, I'm proud of the effort.
