BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A wild afternoon of baseball at WKU ended with the Charlotte 49ers scoring two runs in the top of the ninth and retiring the middle of the Hilltoppers lineup in order during the bottom half to settle for a 13-13 tie due to travel curfew.
WKU (14-11-1, 7-1-1 C-USA) opened the scoring with two in the second before the Niners posted a half-dozen runs in the third to go up by four. Carson Johnson led off with a one-out walk, moved to third on Todd Elwood's double and scored on Harris Yett's infield single.
