HOUSTON, Texas – Charlotte baseball had nothing going for them for 8.2 innings on Sunday afternoon until a rally of six runs, all with two outs, in the top of the ninth stunning Rice for a 6-4 victory at Reckling Park. The six-run rally is the largest single inning comeback for the Niners and becomes the third time this season Charlotte has tallied six in a frame.
"We never quit," started Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "I'm really proud of our guys. We didn't play worth a darn early in the game. I haven't seen this happen very frequently against a caliber program against Rice.
