CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers baseball team has started to receive votes in national polls, doing so in two different polls released on Monday afternoon. The Niners are off to their best start since 2013 sitting at 9-3 overall having already knocked off a top-ten opponent on the road.
The first poll that the Niners receive votes in was the USA Today Coaches Poll before appearing in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) poll later in the day.
The 49ers opened the year by taking two-of-three at home from West Virginia, a preseason pick to be in a NCAA regional at the end of the year.
