NORFOLK, Va. – The Charlotte 49ers baseball team earned a 3-1 win in game one before falling 2-0 in game two splitting a Saturday series-opening doubleheader at Old Dominion on Saturday afternoon. Colton Laws dealt out another seven-inning performance earning the win in the opener before the Niners bats cooled off in game two suffering a complete game, four-hit shutout by ODU's Adam Bainbridge.
"We played well in the first game," began Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "Game two was a different story. Old Dominion has a good team being 16-4 at home coming in.
