CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers baseball team exploded for a season high 15 runs on 20 hits to take care of The Citadel 15-4 in non-conference baseball action on Tuesday night. Every 49ers starter recorded at-least one hit while seven different guys notched multi-hit games.
“We addressed some things we needed to with our guys and had a really good start,” stated Head Coach Loren Hibbs. “I’m proud of the way we played defense tonight. When you’re up that many runs early in the game, guys can lose concentration but we didn’t. It was a good effort all the way around.
