CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After a successful weekend at home, the Charlotte 49ers baseball team will hit the road for the first time traveling to Kennesaw State on Wednesday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. in the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
Charlotte (4-3) has won three-straight taking three-out-of-four from Toledo over the weekend after a doubleheader sweep on Saturday and an 8-0 shutout victory on Sunday. Starter Josh Maciejewski tossed 7.1 innings of shutout baseball allowing just five hits while tying a career high with six strikeouts. Every starter in the lineup Sunday had at-least one hit while Brett Netzer, Drew Ober, Derek Fritz and Zach Jarrett each had two.
