HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Charlotte baseball saw the tying run come to the plate in the final three innings, but Southern Miss did just enough to survive for an 8-6 victory sweeping the weekend series. The Niners fell behind in a 7-2 hole after two before rallying to have chances at the end.
"We made good adjustments from today, but didn't execute the plan at all early in the game," remarked Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "We just didn't get it done which is disappointing. You see why Southern Miss is one of the top programs in our league.
