CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball will get back into Conference USA play traveling to 15th-ranked Rice this weekend in Houston. The Friday opener will mark the sixth game against nationally-ranked opponents this season.
Charlotte (18-24, 7-11 C-USA) won their second-straight contest on Tuesday night dismantling The Citadel 15-4 at Hayes Stadium. The 49ers jumped all over the Bulldogs with four in the first, two in the second and six in the third to cruise to victory. Every starter had at-least one hit while seven of the nine recorded multi-hit games.
“Last night was a really positive effort,” began Head Coach Loren Hibbs.
