CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball erased a 2-0 deficit early on with a stretch of six unanswered runs doubling up #4 Arkansas 6-3 on Wednesday night. The victory becomes the highest-ranked home win in program history and second-highest overall.
"I'm proud of our guys," began Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "This will feel good tonight. We beat a great team tonight. Arkansas is unbelievably talented and are just crazy good. We didn't play very well at the beginning, but our bullpen was really good and we played pretty solid defense. Beating them here tonight was a big time effort, but this only means something if we come ready to play on Friday.
