CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball will open up their final homestand of the year hosting Winthrop on Education Day Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. Area schools and students will be on hand as the Niners begin their final seven-game stretch inside Hayes Stadium.
Charlotte (24-19) has won nine of their last 12 coming into Wednesday afternoon including another Conference USA road series win at Rice. The Niners won the series in unbelievable fashion by taking a 4-0 deficit with two outs in the ninth and turning it into a 6-4 victory to claim the series.
Dominick Cammarata began the rally with a two-out walk before Todd Elwood started a string on four-straight hits to cut the lead in half 4-2.
