CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Western Carolina dealt Charlotte baseball their first home defeat of the year with a 5-2 victory at Hayes Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
"I thought Western Carolina really came out today and competed at a high level from start to finish," started Head Coach . "They played a much cleaner brand of baseball in all facets and you tip your cap to them. We didn't do a good enough job today fundamentally. We need everybody top to bottom stepping up and playing at a high level."
TAKING ADVANTAGE
Western Carolina (6-4) got on the board with three in the second thanks in part to a pair of errors by the 49ers.
