CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball begins the second half of the 30-game Conference USA schedule hosting Marshall this weekend at Hayes Stadium. Fireworks will follow the series-opener at 6:00 p.m. Friday with Saturday and Sunday matinees to follow at 2:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Charlotte (16-22, 6-9 C-USA) looks to bounce back after dropping four of their last five including Tuesday night’s 8-4 contest at Gardner-Webb. The Niners responded from an opening two-run homer by GWU in the first with Reece Hampton scoring on a wild pitch in the third. After the Bulldogs made it a 4-1 game through three, each team traded runs in the fifth thanks in part to Hampton’s RBI infield single that plated Hunter Jones after his leadoff triple.
