CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball will break up a string featuring seven road games in an eight-game span hosting Charleston Southern at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday night. The 49ers will look to snap a six-game slide having won 11 at home this season.
Charlotte (15-16) suffered a sweep at Florida Atlantic over the weekend, but forced extra innings on Saturday and played back-to-back one-run games against a top-30 opponent on the road. Zack Smith hit his first home run of the season on Friday night in a 5-2 defeat before a three-run eighth forced the extra frames on Saturday.
