LOUISVILLE, KY. - The Charlotte 49ers men's cross country team came out hot as they finished second against some stout competition, while senior Paul Arredondo won the meet with a school record 8K time of 20:30.04 at the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic on Saturday.
The women's team finished in sixth and was led by freshman Louise Lounes, who ran a personal record 5K time of 17:35.3, which was almost 30 seconds faster than her Mountains to Sea Open time two weeks ago.
MEN'S PERFORMANCES
The men's team placed second at the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic with 69 points, beating tough teams like Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisville, App State and Marshall.
