In our final episode of An Inside Look for the Spring 2018 Semester, we sat down with Charlotte Baseball's Eric Lansinger.
At the age of 14, Lansinger got some of the hardest news someone can hear: he had been diagnosed with cancer, specifically Hodgkin's lymphoma.
"I was never really a kid that got sick," Lansinger said. "You're 14 years old, and you hear that you have cancer. It's like, this is really it. How much longer do I have?"
Luckily, Lansinger's doctors discovered his cancer early. But it would take six months of grueling chemotherapy for him to recover, which meant his baseball career had to take a back seat to health.
