Charlotte, N.C. – Charlotte won the doubles point but the 49ers (4-2) lost to 28th-ranked Old Dominion (12-3), 5-2, at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex.
“We are very proud of the effort our guys put forth today,” Charlotte coach Jesse Tarr said. “We played the number 28 team in the country to a square match. We played great doubles and had opportunities in singles. Credit goes to ODU, they played well and didn’t let us have it. We look forward to getting back out on the courts and competing tomorrow against Fairfield.”
Charlotte won two doubles matches to claim the doubles point.
