CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers track and field team will compete in three meets over the weekend. First, the distance team will head to the Virginia Challenge on Friday and Saturday, then the Niners compete at the USC Open on Saturday, and finally, the team will send some pole vaulters to the Southside Power and Fitness Invitational on Sunday.
Virginia Challenge
The 49ers distance team will travel to Charlottesville, Va., this weekend for the Virginia Challenge on Friday and Saturday, April 16-17. The team will have runners compete in the men's 800m, 1500m, 5000m, 10,000m and 3000m Steeplechase, while the women will compete in the 1500m and 10,000m events.
