Charlotte, NC – The 19th-ranked Charlotte 49ers men's soccer team improved to 2-0 on the season, defeating Big Ten foe Rutgers 5-0 at Transamerica Field, Sunday.
"It was a very, very good victory for us," said head coach Kevin Langan. "Similarly to our last game, we were very dynamic offensively with guys playing for each other out there. Keeping a clean sheet was just as big today too because Rutgers is a good team. We had lots of positives to take away from today."
The 49ers jumped out to an early lead in the seventh minute through Daniel Bruce.
