Elon, NC – Behind two 20-point scorers and 56 second half points, the Charlotte 49ers (2-0) ran past Elon (1-1), 100-95, on the road. The 49ers have now scored at least 100 points in each of their first two games this season.
"We got taken behind woodshed by Elon last year," Charlotte coach Mark Price said. "I think our guys who were here last year remembered that game. We came out with a lot of intensity. They are good team and this is a tough place to play. This is a really good win by us.
