The Charlotte 49ers women’s soccer team used four goals from three different freshmen, led by two from Megan Greene, to role past the Western Carolina Catamounts 5-1 Friday night at Transamerica Field in their first game of the 2016 season.
“We’ve been looking forward to this game since the last game of 2015,” said head coach John Cullen (eighth season). “This is a combination of the good work we’ve done in the spring season and that the girls did over the summer months. I think our trip to England and Ireland was a very good team bonding experience.
