CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Saturday (Oct. 12) evening, the Charlotte 49ers (6-1-3, 2-1-0 AAC) will invite the FIU Panthers (4-4-2, 2-1-0) to Transamerica Field, the toughest place to play in the country, for a men's soccer matchup that could have major ramifications in the American Athletic Conference.
If the Niners wish to extend the longest home winning streak in the nation to 12 games, they will need to get past a historically tough Panthers team that has not lost a game in three weeks. Additionally, a win is imperative if Charlotte wants to eventually claim the top seed in the league.
