Box Score Red-shirt junior quarterback Kevin Olsen passed for three touchdowns and Charlotte (1-1) scored on four straight possessions to pull away for a 47-14 victory over Elon in front of a sellout crowd of 15,807 in the 49ers' home opener.
"What a crowd. It's fun to get back to our home crowd," said 49ers head coach Brad Lambert. "We were looking forward to it it and I challenged our team all week. We have a great environment and a great stadium."
Olsen was a perfect 13-of-13 in the second quarter while engineering TD drives of 85, 26 and 49 yards as Charlotte overcame a 7-0 first-quarter deficit.
