Charlotte, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers face Big 12 foe TCU in the first round of the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, Sunday, December 23 at 12:30 a.m. eastern time. The tournament will be played at the University of Hawai'i's Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, December 22-25. The Diamond Head Classic is an ESPN Events tournament so all three of Charlotte's games will be carried on the ESPN family of networks.
Charlotte is in its first season under head coach Ron Sanchez, who was the associate head coach at ACC Champion Virginia before becoming the 11th head coach in 49ers history this past March.
