Charlotte, N.C. — Charlotte executed a 13-0 run late in the second half; however, the host 49ers (1-2) fell to the visiting James Madison Dukes, 64-59, inside Halton Arena Friday evening. The 49ers held JMU without a field goal for the final 5:53 in regulation.
"I said from the beginning that this group has fight in them," Charlotte coach said. "Credit to JMU, I thought they did a great job, they were hungry, and they got after us and they played a great game. As far as our team, I think we need to come out with more urgency as a group.
