CHARLOTTE – Clutch plays from Giancarlo Rosado and Robert Braswell IV forced overtime, and the Charlotte 49ers (10-17, 3-11 AAC) capitalized on the extra period with an 8-2 run to secure a hard-fought 78-72 victory over Temple (14-13, 6-8) in American Athletic Conference men's basketball action on Wednesday (Feb. 19) afternoon in Halton Arena.
After 15 lead changes and 11 ties, the Niners avenged their 90-89 double-overtime loss to the Owls in Philadelphia, Pa., earlier this season.
"It's a bit of a chess match against both teams. The two games we played have come down to a possession here and there," said Charlotte Head Men's Basketball Coach Aaron Fearne.
