SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The start of the Conference USA volleyball season didn't get off to the start Charlotte was hoping for suffering a 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-20) loss in a tightly-contested match at UTSA on Friday night. The 49ers drop to 9-7 overall while UTSA moves to 8-6.
SET ONE STREAKS
UTSA grabbed an early 5-1 and 10-4 advantage and held on to that advantage for the opening 25-20 win. The Niners got on a nice run of 6-1 to cut the deficit down to one at 18-17. Three kills in the run by Sydney Rowan and a solo block by Jocelyn Stoner put Charlotte right back in it.
