KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the first time in the program's history, the Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team earned the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award. The NABC has been awarding the Team Academic Excellence Award since the 2012-13 season.
The Team Academic Excellence Award recognizes outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2019-20 season.
IN THE CLASSROOM
As a team, the 49ers had a 3.22 GPA for the 2019-20 academic year. Eleven Charlotte 49ers men's basketball players were named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
